You should also take in to consideration about the tax rate in the town you are moving too, compare it to other place of your liking.
If this is your first time buying a home, some state offer a class for first time home buyers that will get you $2000 or more depending on where you live, it would be worth the time in a class to know you are getting money back. You could even build your own home if you wanted too, just need to find the land and figure out if you want to build it or pay someone else to do it. Just remember to never settle on something you didnt want in the first place, if you cant find it, keep looking.
